Title: Spam Calls
Post by: farmboygraphics on March 01, 2024, 08:35:16 AM
Between Noon and 5 yesterday I got 14 garbage calls on my business line. I checked and yes, I am on the do not call list.
I might just set my phone to go right to voice mail, it's annoying and I don't know what to do about it.

We look at the caller id and then make a decision. The worst thing that happens is it goes to voicemail.

I use Robokiller and nip a few in the bud.  I try to always wait for a second ring, as those calls ring once, and then disappear.
Only seems to catch about 1/2 of them though.

Once in a while I will answer the call. Before they can say anything I'll say, "Yeah, it's all taken care of. I just have to clean up the blood".

A while back I used to say "Ever seen a grown man naked?"

I called Spectrum after I got 4 more before I opened. They directed me to my business account online where there's a setting to bump up the filtering to High.
So far so good, hopefully it doesn't block everyone, cause that would be a shame :-D

Switch your phone to ring central and have the answer go to a menu. Press one for directory, 2 for sales, 3 for customer service. All the spam gets lost int eh directory.
We’ve gone from 20-30 calls a day to none since we switched.

I only have a cell phone. I went into my notification settings and completely disabled phone calls from numbers that are not saved to contacts. Now it only rings if I actually know the person. It's been great lol.

Yeah we've blocked numbers but it only works for a while, heck we've even had our own number call us LOL

I put them on hold and never pick back up.  Waste as much of their time as possible.
