what kind of emb machine are you using? i havent been able to pull anything larger than a 2.25" tall design on our SWF but that may be due to the height of the cap itself i suppose.

oh ok so theyre not fitted, its the snapbacks? gotcha

SanMar's New Era caps DO offer fitted or "flexfit-like".  Nice hats, sew well.

Well I use Barudan elite xl for samples and Tajima TMFX 1204 for production.

I've never seen a SWF in action, I can go up to 2.65" high on both machines, here is a logo 2.65"H

ftembroidery:
When we have to sew something tall or way offset to one side, we use the Tajima 270 degree hoop, but otherwise we try to keep it at or below 2" and use the EMS/Hooptech hoops and our P&F Equip. hat hooper.  Our machines are all Tajimas.
