using coreldraw x5
I have a rectangle and I want to curve ONLY the top two corners. The "Shape Tool" curves all four corners..I only want to do two.
-
there is not 1 simple tool to do this in corel. i would do the four and then go back and straighten the 2 which did not need to be curved.

Draw a rectangle, and then up on the properties bar or whatever is right below the dropdown menus you can choose round corners, chamfered, or cut in, there is a tiny lock and if you un-click that you can round all of the corners independent of each other.

aahhh..got it!..thank you!

Clone the rectangle. Round the corners of one. Overlap the two, with the rounded one slightly higher. Manipulate as needed for proper dimension, then weld the two.

It does, you just need to know where to find it...the method I mentioned is the correct and fastest way of doing it. You can round one corner, 2 corners on the same side, opposite corners, different rounding on each corner, etc.
-
exactly, when you have the shape tool selected the for corners radiuses are available in the top menu bar ready to go.

Just like in Illy, Freehand, and probably a few open source programs, these actions all work better once you know about them! LOL!

There are 1000000000 ways to do this here is a super quick and easy way we often use to combine elements of several objects.

There are 1,000s of different things you can do in most cutting edge graphics programs....However, most folks never get around to finding and learning very many....
