Can someone share with me the best settings for saving pdf mocks in Illustrator? We run into some issues recently where art doesnt show on pdfs sometimes and I cannot figure it out even if I rasterize. Is it a CC issue or is it a settings issue?

We closed our factory in Houston, and have a bunch of leftover pieces from our Washout room.
Custom built filter tanks: $200ea we have three of these. These are amazing and if maintained will filter your waster water EXCEPTIONALLY well.
Sgreen Filter sation - $100 paired with the above filter tanks, you will have water that you can drink.
55 gallon drum of Saati Direct Prep 3 - $100 This is a FREAKING STEAL. we do not want to ship this across country.
Oversized washout booth - $300 Looks like the back plastic was cracked in moving, and it's an easy solve. This booth is massive as it came out of an old sign shop.

UPDATE: so it took me a week before I could get back there to take the control board apart to send out for a fix... since I had the back off I was going to turn on and jiggle some crap around..
Well I turned on, and wouldn't you know it freakin works. I didn't do anything.
I would assume it could be one of those things that will get worse over time, but as of now, we can use it.

Thanks Steve. I’ll see if I can save it as a PSD and see if it still does that. I’m just trying to wrap my theory brain around it at this point. The text in PS is pixel data, no fonts so I was pretty stunned to see the text effected. We’ll use both DCS2 and PSD with blank RGB channels, depending on what mood I’m in on a particular day. Is there any benefit to using a PSD over a DCS2? I like the DCS two because it usually looks a little bit better in AI with the color composite.

I was using .psd files instead of DCS 2.0 for the last 15 years or so. Maybe that will work for you. I can't think of a way that a letter would be dropped. In the .psd files, the text should be converted to raster, in Illy, the text would be converted to outlines. At least that was my experience.

heat will make it shrivel up like George in the pool..... we put on multiple layers of tape, one as a "base" and then two or three for quick changes. Sure is a pecker to reapply though...
