Title: MSP 3140 Help!!!!!!!
Post by: XG Print on October 17, 2017, 11:04:06 AM
OK...I just came into the shop after a really long day yesterday and tried to burn 2 screens for a small run today.  Both 135 S mesh.....Put them in the exposure unit and turned it on.  Vacuumed down like normal and light came on for the specified amt of time like always.  Pull screens out and go to wash out....NO IMAGE   What the hell???  Did this twice. Could my emulsion be bad? Pretty sure it has not come into contact with light.  Hate when this crap happens!!  Help!!!!

that has to be it.  did the screens rinse out? or did all of the emulsion act like it had been exposed?

Diazo Dual cure or pure photopolymer emulsion.  IF diazo based the emulsion may be shot, especially if it is hot in your shop.  Did you see any image at all during washout? If not it is either dark hardened diazo or dual cure emulsion or low d-max on the films.

Pretty sure I figured out the problem.  One of my new guys opened screen room door and had hall light shining right in on the screens for about an hour.  That will do it.  Glad I only had 3 screens on the rack....Loaded everything back up and now everything is fine.  Go figure!!
