first of all you need a pro seping in out. then i think you can do it in 6 colors.let your separater provide ink colors. as for mesh your looking at 230's all the way .

Im thinking they are going to want 3 colors so the skull would have to be a solid gray.

you will be able to get a great look with the right underbase, a toned out grey and blue. not exact but probably within budget and make the client happy.  its all in the seps and screens

White, 2 greys, blue and black.  Have a look at Ryonet seperation studio.  It eats jobs like these.  Have a look on YouTube for the overviews.

I have been looking at Separation Studio but to be honest I don't get enough of these types of images to justify it although I would like to.

How about Greyish UB (and also up to the top), Bright Blue and some of that liquid silver from wilflex.  I think you'll need to p/f/p the bright blue though or use an additional white to get it to pop. 

And yeah, that's some butt ugly art there but I always see past that as a printer and take my pleasure from getting the print to work.  It looks good to somebody right?
