Well a buddy had 2 skid steers and had a plan, but then he only sent one.. no go.

Also our lot is at a slant.

We did end up getting a flatbed to pull I out on, and a skid steer with forks to make sure it didn't tip over.

I uncrated and then it was problem solving to get it off the damn crate.

But did it and now in position.

Can not wait to use it!

whitewater:
And now to get rid of my 3 tajimas.

bimmridder:
I remember many moons ago when we bought an 18 head Tajima. What a nightmare just getting it in.

mk162:
We don't have a dock, so we hired the rigging co to do it.  They brought out 2 forklifts/drivers and I swear without a word to each other drove them in prefect synchronization to get it off the back of a flatbed.

It was something to watch for sure.  Compared to what these guys normally do, a 6 head is nothing.

They brought it in, took the old SWF out, loaded it up and drove it down to it's new home. I think it was like $1100 for last mile delivery and bringing it inside.

We did our auto press with a flatbed and a forklift. but the arms also came off, so it was easier to handle.

Congrats! How many heads?

We have 3 single heads, but the "big ones" are 8 heads and all of them have 450x360mm sewing area.  Single heads can sew much wider if needed

Getting the 8 heads unloaded was a pain, mainly because they do not have room for forks underneath and we had to work on getting that higher first, then also because it's at the limit of what our 3 wheel forklift can handle, due to the length.  Worked out fine but definitely stressful!
