I get a ton of emails from random ASI companies, but this one takes the cake. Is this a joke? Someone tell me this is a joke? This product is called a SHART, come on.

Actually, someone on one of the now dead forums, posted this as a great use of old wooden frames. Just cut a piece of rigid foam just a hair smaller than the inside dimensions. Great way to display samples in your customer area.
Now, kick yourself for dumping those old frames!
And actually, displaying a shirt as art, what else could you call it (except probably overpriced)?

i don't care what it does, i'm not buying it because it's called a shart....
I can hear it now, book keeper says hey J, what is a shart and why did you pay 35 bucks for it? ;D

Intrigued by the Shart, I did a bit of research and found an explanation direct from the owner of the company in a reply to an Amazon review:
I appreciate the high rating and opinion regarding our name. Believe me, it wasn't an easy choice. Here's how it happened:
Once we developed our shirt frame, I began looking for the best name to set us apart from our competitors. As I thought about what we were attempting to do, it struck me. We were turning shirts into pieces of art. Not too long into the process, I thought shirt art. Naturally, that led to shart.
My wife and I discussed it at length and we decided that it would either be the best or worst business name ever and probably nothing in between. Additionally, after developing the product and website, we knew we would not have much left in the tank for an advertising/marketing budget. We knew it was risky but figured it was memorable and that we would not have to print brochures or business cards.
After some research and negotiation, I was fortunate to purchase shart.com for a reasonable price and the rest is history.
In hindsight, I think it's one of the best decisions we've made. High quality, patent-pending product that is fun to market. I used to work in a pretty much defunct type of business, at least in California, a service station. At this particular station, another archaic institution, a pay toilet, apparently inspired one patron to express himself through the medium of fingerpainting. That could have probably also been called shart.

I had a web design teacher that would register domain names that he thought were funny. Maybe it was him?

Actually it is a great idea if you step back think that every time anyone puts on a printed tee shirt they are basically displaying moving art. Not unlike advertising on a bus or taxi.
Think about it if every hippie from the 60's (choke / cough ) bought one of these for their favorite concert tee shirt this guy could be big.
Right this minute there are 1000000000000000 old tee shirts that are tattered torn and worn hanging in some guy's closet reminding him of the great days of his youth while his wife can't understand why he can't grow up and take out the garbage or remember his wedding anniversary. SOLUTION to this problem....you got it the SHART
BRILLIANT.............wish I thought of it.
