Title: Laser Guides on Press
Post by: Rocfrog on December 09, 2013, 01:11:44 PM
We need another on press "laser guide" set up for the new press that is coming and we currently have www.lasertargetingsystems.com (http://www.lasertargetingsystems.com) and they aren't returning any of our phone calls and last time sent us a bad replacement part so we were looking at www.laseit.net (http://www.laseit.net) and was wondering if anyone has these or has dealt with the company and what they thought.

I have never seen the laserit but looks pretty good, and the price seems fair , I think the other brand is overpriced personally.
I guess my only problem with the laserit is if you are running the press by yourself , you would need 2 mounting plates , not a big deal at what there charging.

Save some major coin. Get a few of these:

http://www.harborfreight.com/laser-marker-93242.html (http://www.harborfreight.com/laser-marker-93242.html)

Base has 3 rare earth magnets built in. It also comes with double sided foam adhesive pad and screws for permanent mounting. Tip rotates to allow for line adjustment.

Binkspot sent me a message and I had him send the owner some info. The owner doesn't want a DIY system he wants something that he can rely-on and call if something goes wrong.

How was/is your experience with this company?

The other thing he really likes about the LaseIt system is that is is AC powered and not battery operated.

Binkspot's system is not a DIY system. It is very versatile and well made.

Thanks Alex glad it is working well for you.

Yes I do have a web site but there is nothing on it. I haven't had time to play with it.

Basically it's a four arm laser unit with a mag base. You can choose what style any combination of cross, line or dot. It can be powered 120 vac or with a battery pack with two AA batteries, other power options will be available early next year.

They run $300 including shipping.

There are 22 in the field working now.

I try and build them last but keep the price point reasonable.

If any one is interested in one just pm or email me and I will shoot you info and pictures. When I get home Ill post a few pictures

Our S.Roque came with them, but I almost like Binkspot's better. While the S.Roque ones are a bit more sleek and integrate directly into the press, Binks unit is able to be place anywhere which is REAL nice! I got ours with a magnet base so it can really go anywhere on the press that it needs to. The 4 lasers are also kinda cool, if I am printing I usually point one up and over my shoulder, catch anyone in the eyes creeping up! Only worked once, but I thought it was funny as hell! :D

Here is The first one built. The only change to the units is the arms are all black now.
