Title: Need Help Trying To Open This
Post by: Prosperi-Tees on December 19, 2013, 02:21:24 PM
I recieved 3 files from this customer with no problem and this is not opening. I tried Ghost and Corel and it says it cannot import it. Any help would be appreciated, if you can get it to open could you save it to an eps or pdf? Link to image below

Your going to have to get them to re-uplaod it. I tried in Illy and Corel and both are showing an unknown error.

here's a pdf............the text is messed up, doubled up, but not from the conversion
It was saved that way (I think).

This was in the file -

%!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0
%%Creator: cairo 1.12.8 (http://cairographics.org (http://cairographics.org))
%%CreationDate: Thu Dec 19 19:12:59 2013
%%Pages: 1
%%DocumentData: Clean7Bit
%%LanguageLevel: 2
%%BoundingBox: 0 -1 1440 1440

Clean7Bit means from saving a file from InDesign as a Postscript output.  Or so the internet says, lol.  Wouldn't open in InDesign either.  Saw it in Corel, but the text is AFU.  Funky font.

That link indicates may have really come from some open source item.  Maybe if you're really lucky, they'll give you one made in MS Paint.....kidding.....

Wayne the text isn't really funky.....there's just 2 different fonts on top of each other.
You can separate them, just shift select each 'letter' and move one of the strings out of the way.

I noticed there were 2 lines in an overlay, but just assumed that it was all messed up.

Looked like it wanted a font (CCKWUP) I didn't have so I still couldn't fix it up for Gerry.

Got snow?

I opened it up in Corel. When I did I got the "import eps file" like normally would but it was set to place image and I just changed it so it imported with curves. I get the same thing with fonts. It converted the outline to object but left the font which I believe is why there were 2 fonts. I am using X6 also.
