I'm about in the market to replenish my Press Wash for plastisol.
Ryonet appears to have a soy based that says it can clean plastisol and break it down to where you can hose it off and be drain-safe.
How is that possible and do any of you recommend a 'green' press wash?
I have been using a press wash named 842 along with 701 for ghosting.
My options are CCI, soy base product, or stick with 842.
The soy base is more expensive, but if drain safe with a water rinse, I'm cool with that. Just find it hard to accept that something made from soy could break down plastisol to rinse with water.
Opinions? Oh I know you do, lol.

Franmar Bean-e-doo, been using it for years. Works great.

Only issue is that Ryonet does not sell that one and I have a credit to use up.
Says it's a Mastic removal. Use that to remove plastisol?
If so, can you use water to rinse the mixture off when done?
Soy based? Might be a silly question based on the name (Bean).

Oops, I linked to the wrong bean-e-doo in that first post, this is the correct one:

Yes it's soy-based, and rinses off with water.

CCI Envirowipe for on-press stuff or CCI citra-paste for ink removal.....I have a few gallons of envirowipe if you want a sample....same with ctirapaste, we have tons of it... it's cheap too.

Is the CCI Environwipe allow a rinse off down the drain? I been leaning that way after all the years with the solvent based.

we use envirowipe for on press color changes....mainly when I'm printing and put the wrong damn color on the screen ::)...it doesn't go down the drain, it goes on a rag then down the tunnel. Citra paste is the one you want for the drain. it's not so much the cleaner, but the ink that isn't drain safe...from my understanding anyway.....
I think you'll like citra paste, and seeing how your cheap - your can dilute it with water to stretch it out!! ;D

Here is what we use -

It's not from Ryonet though if you are trying to use a credit.

Xenon. Brad (mk162) uses it.

pastiwash to my knowledge will not make ink drain safe. I use it in my parts washer and it works great.
As for drain safe cleaners, I believe that Xenon's fsic is, but I use CCI's cleaner I think it's IW-6...works great as both ink removal and a haze remover.
