Title: Reclaim Chemistry price increase and supply issues
Post by: tonypep on August 01, 2011, 03:15:30 PM
A little bird told me iodine prices had a 300% jump in price due to supply/demand issues. Since I'm told this is a major component in Sodium Metaperiodate which is the primary chemical component in virtually all reclaim chemistries expect a jump in those products. My supplier told me they currently do not have enough to fill existing orders.

Sodium Metaperiodate is the common Emulsion Reclaiming chemical
It could also be Periodic Acid... Sodium Metaperiodate is usually the crystal form if I am not mistaken......

The name makes me think of enzymes, but I could be incorrect.
