Title: A little more on burnout T's

I generally don't attract the fashion crowd, so am usually a little late on current trends.
Questions about the best way to print on these pop up a few times here, but what I'm wondering (as illustrated by my original question about them calling them "already" burned out) are there commonly available inks to do our own burnout patterns on the right blends?

I assume that the cotton gets eaten away, leaving the synthetic threads.

Correct. Actually the process is many decades old. Used to decorate patterns for lampshades, etc. The process is print and laundry dry. The product is clear. You can achieve some results by tinting with WB/PC but if you have access to poly dyestuffs that is best. It is also caustic (lye) so use PPE. Have some samps at home I'll try to dig them up. Did some Ramones logos on fleece. Off the charts but man did it leave a lot of lint in the dryer. Just an FYI this not for a novice and I do not recommend even trying it in confined areas.
