An electric Freedom press hmmm.  What do these run cost wise? I heard it was at iss(?) - how fast is the index? Any other good features like psi at each head?  Features at the main panel?

Cost depends on whether you get the 6, 8 or 10 color press. I can't put it on the board, but we have some very atractive introductory pricing. The video was shot at the ISS Long Beach Show. The index is very fast. We're discussing how to present the speed. Dry Index, Full Stroke Index, ect. The bottom line is the press has very competitive production speeds. Individual print head controls including squeegee pressure. We'll be releasing more info on the Sabreware controler in the near future.

I saw it at the show, and I do have to say it is a very nice step in the right direction for Workhorse. I think pricing was $39k.

Thanks Alex. The $39k number you were quoted is for the six color machine and it includes crating, installation and your choice of a FlashBack or Quartz Flash. Installation includes tech expenses for the continental US. This is introductory pricing and subject to change.

I was just informed that our installation charge includes the tech expenses for the continental US. That means there's no extras to the $39k number above. Sorry for the miscue.

I will say that it is amazing how much weight one individual can carry and bring to the table. Now that Paul is involved with the company/project, my opinion of them totally turned around.

Paul, good luck with the new press, and as already mentioned it's good to see you back!

Thanks Pierre, That's a great compliment! It's awesome to have "The Shirt Board" to share new products. The truth is, the project was under way when I came on board. It's one of the many reasons I'm excited about the opportunity I have with Workhorse.

I see a lot of "win" in that press.  I am impressed with the OS more than anything.  Depending on price this might find it's way into a lot of smaller and medium sized shops.  The OS is very user friendly and has a lot to offer.  I could see this OS paired up with the Falcon and having one heck of a production machine.

A technicality worth mentioning is that machine is still controlled by a PLC, like all the rest of our presses. The tablet is the HMI (Human Machine Interface). Most "Touch Screen" interfaces are an industrial HMI. Twenty years ago, the industrial HMI would've been the product of choice. Today, consumer products like the tablet, are tested for harsher conditions and offer more feature value.

Is it then field replaceable with a commodity product?  Cause that would be a great selling point...

Yes, it's field replaceable. Split the case and it's a standard Dell tablet with standard connections.

Really cool how you don't have to mount the flashback on the head now. Can this press use the same quarts plug and go flash that the falcon uses as well?

Yes, you can a Plug and Go as well as the Flashback, in any combination you like.

Yeah, there's one in the showroom. The second video was shot there. Stop on by! We'll give you the tour and show you the press.

Hey nice vid, but did I here that this machine is wifi? that scares me being able to go on the internet, what protects the control head from virus attacks if possible.  Allso with this much control within the print head you should be able to keep a print job on a zip drive and recall that job.

There's anti-virus software on the tablet. The wifi service you'll be using will likely be your own, so it will be secure. If you're still worried, you can turn off the wifi.

Info on storing set up data will be released soon.

Paul.... I'm sure you meant to say "anti-virus" software.

Next time I am in phoenix I am going to stop and take a look. It looks nice. I am not really in the market but new presses are always fun to mess with. Maybe I can print a workhorse shirt on the press...

Very impressive....

I'm very happy to hear that the 'windows' part of it is only the HMI...

I was a bit concerned when we first heard about the press running on windows, knowing that the important feedback loops and etc are being done on a PLC makes me far less concerned.
