Title: white ink
Post by: 3Deep on March 05, 2014, 05:50:36 PM
How many different brands gals,qt's, pint's etc of white ink do you have on your shelf? just walk from the ink rack and I have at least 5 to 6 brands and just a butt load of samples and you name it of white ink, some I've used and some still full.  Of all the ink I have white seems to be the most of all the inks I tend to have to play around with.

I don't have that many actually, some might think I have about 40 different kinds back there but I usually make sure we use every bit even if it's crap we can still make it work.  It has to be really bad ink to just sit on the shelf here.  I've got a 5'er of Rutland Tidy, 1 gallon of Lancer Evolution PVC/Pthlalate free stuff for childrens stuff, and a gallon of One Stroke Dry Fit white and then a quart of some white ink that I based down for a runny, less opaque white.

Between all the different types of inks(PS/DC/WB/HSA/Poly) we have 14. It would be VERY nice to get that down to 3 or 4 but more realistically I think we will end up with about 6 or 7.

I always found it funny when the reps that work directly for the ink companies would come around every year the only "new" thing that they were trying to push and make sound exciting was their new white! with a sales pitch that this stuff is going to change things! ;D

I have to say the IC Legacy white, and the Wilflex Top Score are really nice. Get samples if you can and give them a try.

I tried to get a big sample pack at the ISS Ft. Worth show of the Top Score inks but I never received anything and signed up for getting email blasted and not some free ink to try out like I was expecting.  Oh well, they got me.  I'd still like to try it out.

Zoo,

Were are you buying your Quick. My local guy is always raising his pricing. I paid $340 the last 5 and this time I just bought Rutland SF LB. It prints just as good. Only complaint is its sticky and has a little to much puff. Only been using it for a week so can't really say anything is that bad yet.

I agree.  With that said Xenon has made a real improvement on our Reg White :o 8).  There is someone on these boards that has tested it out and has Replicated opinion.  What say ye?
