Title: printing halftone shadows from illustrator

I've attached a file that I created this weekend.  I've used a spot white and created a shadow with the same color.  Is there something I need to do to get the shadow to print with accurip?  When I tried to print it only the solid letters printed but not the shadow.  I ended up just using photoshop to print my film and it worked fine.  I would like to print it straight from illustrator though.  I'm sure it's just something I haven't done right.  Thanks

If you created the shadow using one of the "effects" (IE drop shadow, glow, etc.) you will likely need to "expand appearance" to
have it print correctly.

if the shadow or any of the effects are done with the regular colors they will not print where needed. In the effects dialog box there is an option to select teh color. Make sure you are using the same SPOT color for it as you are for the main text!!!

Or, invert the colors and print as black

I'm with Pierre on this one, as I just taught it to a staff member last week. And you don't necessarily have to expand it at that point. Just be sure you used the same color...
