So before we were doing job sheets..thats fine for the coutns and styles of shirts and what not. but when i print the mock for the printer to look at sometimes it just wasnt clear enough..plus the ink...
What we did, im sure some of you do, is i have a computer in the shop area. Its an old one..but now i put the mocks with a;ll the info and how to print it in one file. which then goes in the file that is labelled with the date. These files are in our dropbox..
This way when the printer comes in she goes to the dropbox and looks on file with todays date and all the jobs are in order...they can also click on the other dates to see what is coming up. If there are any instructions for that day they are in that file also.
So they can click on the mock..they can enlarge and what not and there is no waste..
So many less questions..LOL!

We're similar. I'm thinking about a projector and putting the current jobs up on the wall at 10 feet tall.
Any errors should be glaring.

Well I was lurking at a competitors site and watched there factory tour, have a look at about 3:10 , I thought it was a good idea to have the job on a monitor above each press.

We're doing something close to whitewater, only in Evernote and using ipads/iPhones on the production floor. It's amazing.

Yup, the future is now for sure. A year or so ago before I sold my previous shop I brought in different tablets (Ipad, different Android flavors) and got a system starting to work. You could view a PDF and then enter notes for revisions/corrections. And calendar for day, week, month, all that. At my new shop I am in the process doing it again. Tie it in with the "Cloud" and you have a winning combo in my opinion. However, if you are not into technology or not organized or bad at updating work orders it can be overwhelming.

I love this idea. For a while I wanted to get a few cheaper tablets to have around notes, instructions, puking orders, ect. But I couldn't really find anything that would work with PriceIt or anything.
The monitors are a great idea. I had thought of putting up a 37" TV with the schedule and current jobs at the end of v the dryer, but never got that far. The monitors above the press would be nice though I think.
Sorry to compliment your competitor Croft, but that video is frickin' hilarious!
