Hey guys, we're in the process of putting together some information and had a few questions...
What size scoop coater are you using on your frames (20x24, 23x31 and 25x36)?
What size squeegee are you using on those frames sizes?
What size cap film (if you use it) do you use on those sizes?
What is the largest design you try and fit on those frame sizes?
Just let us know what you are using and we will thank you later! :)

Pretty much this ^
We can print up to 20" long and 15.5" wide but our full front/backs are usually a few inches less than that.

My entire shop is 23x31 statics, and my "standard" print size is 18x12 or less, but I regularly do 15x20, and have on occasion done up to 16x24 using this size frame. Squeegee is determined by width of the art, but 14" is standard. Scoop coater is 19" wide. This is all on a manual fyi.

I'm all EZ frames.
-
23x31(static and M3's) and 25x36(M3's) frames
19ish" scoop coater
16" squeegee/floodbar
We have a bunch of 18x20 MZX and statics that get coated with a 15ish" I believe.
We have a different setup(screens, coater, squeegees/floodbars, pallets)for our oversized prints but we do not run those as often. I can get you the measurements for those if you would like.
I usually buy our coaters a inch or two longer than will fit in the screens and then cut them down so they JUST fit.

On the scoop coater ditto on 19" for 23x 31 frames you'll thank me later.

23x31 and 25x36 Statics
18" Scoop Coater
16" sq/fld
We go 15" x 17" as our standard print area. No up charge for that size.
We print larger on the 25x36's, used to do 15x23 on the Sportsman. Our CHIIID has at least 2 more inches of stroke so I would assume we can do a bit more with our current pallets and screens (16x25 pallets). Our press will do something like 43 wide though if we did larger screens since it will double index.
-
23x31 EZ frames
19" coater
16" sq/fld
prints are usually smaller that 15"x17"

Once again, thank you for the data guys! This is huge for us to know about sizes and styles and where we need to get our shapes tighter and looser. If anyone else has info, please continue sharing!
Thanks!

23x31Statics
18" Scoop Coater
14" squeegee and flood
We go 12" x 16" as our standard print area.
however, we print for a lot of churches and youth organizations that order tons of smalls and women's sizes.
99% of the time we have 15x18 platens on the auto, so we can fit the youth sizes on without swapping anything out. a 12" wide print on a L or XL is certainly not tiny, so we've never gotten any complaints.
