Title: Need help with this / baseball caps
Post by: whitewater on April 10, 2014, 09:19:41 AM
I need help here...I know this is heat pressed on, but when i called transfer express they said heat pressing a 6 panel cap was not recommended due to the seam being there.

theres is a 150 of these hats that they need, so i do not want to order that many transfers if its not going to work...

but it must work because i have one here! LOL

I did it before, yes, the seam shows up, but I believe that your customer expects that because he has seen it before on the sample :)

Yeah I'd say with the Black either under or around orange, filling in seams it will help
orange from breaking up or looking bad.

I'm 99.99999% sure that's a digital transfer on that hat, not a plastisol transfer.
You mentioned Transfer Express so I thought you might be confused..........

Digital will work exactly as your photo shows.

Stahls (parent company of Transfer Express) will make them for you.
I'd offer to do them for you but I'm not sure I can compete with the price ......but then who knows?

I'm sure my prices are much better than theirs on lower quantities but I'm guessing that number may rapidly diminish when you order in bulk from them. But like I said, I really don't know.
One of my computers is giving me fits right now. I'll log on to their site later and let you know if I can do them cheaper for you.
Can you hang on for a few hours?

www.FMExpressions.com (http://www.FMExpressions.com) has some 15 and 20 cent transfers that will work fine for 6 panels caps.....They are thick so they apply quite well over the seams....

Okie dokie, geez those guys are expensive! If I figured everything out correctly, I can beat their price by about 15 cents each! That's about $50 on your order
It may be even more because I didn't know the exact dimensions of that logo you need. I plugged in 3x2 inches
All this digital stuff (for me anyway) is mostly based on the amount of vinyl used.
I use the same exact printer and same exact substrate they use so we're definitely comparing apples to apples.
Email me offlist and I'll be glad to give you a quote.

I broke my flippin' foot sitting in my computer chair a few weeks ago.......so that may be the only small compromise. I can't get things out of here overnight. I may need a few day turnaround time. (sigh)

hope I can help
