Just want to say thanks to everyone here for giving such great advise. Had to do a big job for UBS yesterday. Logo on left side and a dragon on the right chest and on the back. The dragon was supposed to be printed in way that looked like a tint of the original garment color. Remembered Tony`s post from a while back about using discharge inks for that purpose with just 0.1 or 0.2 % activator, came out great. Even on purple and royal blue. :) Cheers.

That's great... another tip is to look into the clear tint/gel inks or clear-bases where you can add a color.... but even the clear-gel inks will create the opposite effect.... on lighter colored garments you can use a 1-screen with clear ink to get a darker-colored area of the shirt-color where the imprint is, and works on other colored garments without changing inks out.... each lighter-colored garment will have the print as a darkened "wet-looking" sort of deeper shade of the garment-color. I worked with these inks before and you can also use them to create tinted clear-black inks that help with soft shading over colors, etc. Like discharge on darks but in the opposite sort of way.

Or you can combine both techniques within a graphic. We call it Watermark and sometimes it is just a part of the finished shirt. Did a Disney piece once where the park was Watermarked in the background and Mickey and pals in full color
