Whats everyone using for Temp guns to check shirt temps while they are in the dryer??

Donut probe. But we have a temp gun for other things.

I use a temp gun from lowes to check the temp as the shirts are at their peak towards the back of the dryer. Since its a reflected heat I allow the temp to reach 375 before I consider it cured. That is based upon experience over the long haul where the ink pulls apart (not bridging) and red ink rubbing off (crocking). That's just how I do it.

I get my most accurate readings just before they exit. That also allows me to hold the gun closer which is more accurate as well.
I also shoot for something between 375 and 400 just for an instant

I use a donut probe inside the shirt... if the inside of the shirt is at 320 under the ink, I'm pretty sure that the shirt is completely cooked :)

We have a "donut" but he says it doesn't work quite right. So we use a cheaper temp gun but it's pretty old and beat up.

The cross hair where the two wires meet, need to be IN the ink to get accurate readings.
If you just place it atop a printed shirt, it won't read correctly.

Dab some ink on a shirt, then place the cross hairs in that blob and send it down.

we have a fluke, really we do test our temps on a Fluke..... works pretty well.

There are cheaper guns out there but this is a pretty important element to the sure cure thing.
