Title: Found a 15 years old notebook on my desk...

and in it was a note about discharging; "Watch the heat, too much too fast and the water dries off before the discharging is finished and bright colors are not so bright..." True? True at the time maybe?

From what I understand, true then, and true now. That's why forced air, long tunnels and gas all have a leg up on basic plastisol capable dryers.

Yes, just a curiosity, we had just finished short run discharge job on Saturday morning, and I had noticed slight area that was creased and hadn't discharged all the way on one piece... so I guess it would be so, just looking for other opinions/thoughts.
