Title: This is why I love Dot-tone-designs
Post by: mk162 on August 19, 2011, 12:23:06 PM
Printed this last night.  I did over saturate the colors, but I thought it really looked cool, so I ran with it.

Brad,
You did a great job at printing it. It looks awesome. I appreciate that you can handle that soft fade out to the shirt color well. The dots held up and I see no moire. ;)  Thats not an easily thing to do for many people and with 6 colors on multiple ground colors.  Blue, Sand, Pink etc.

I provided Brad with a DCS2 file and he was able to to add the type in himself. I guess that info was coming later or something since I was not asked to include it. So adding that type (with that shadow) seems to have fell into the seps well. It looks like it was part of the water color effect. Good job on that as well.

Thanks for posting.

Is a vacuum exposure table pretty much a requirement for that kind of detail?

I'm going to say yes. And a point source lamp...

I have a vac and single point light source.  I haven't ever printed without them, so it's hard to compare the benefits

I lake to mess with our "Dane", but the print is good as usual.
Great work separating and printing.

Brad, I see old Nuarc 40-1K is still exposing nicely, I'm glad I stumbled on that unit for $350.
