I bought the Retro Kit and are getting it all hooked up today. The Kit is the same Panel that goes in the E 2000 so I can burn 23 X 31 Screens which will be nice. Anyone out there have the Vastex e 200 LED unit that can give input?

Very cool that companies see the need for a retro-fit LED kit. Post some pics of it when you're all done!

Had old National Unit that had quit working, built a shelf for it and this is it.

Just curious: did vastex give you a optimal distance from the surface of the glass to the LED's?

3.0 - 3.5"

Out of curiosity, since I haven't seen it mentioned: do the LED units use an integrator for exposure, or are exposures simply by a timer? I understand these "bulbs" are rated for thousands of hours, and exposure times are very fast, so the notion of an integrator to adjust time to get proper light units is probably moot, but I haven't seen any mention of one, and was curious.
If someone had a MH unit that crap the bed but used an integrator for exposure length, upon retrofitting with an LED unit, they'd also have to wire in a timer, correct?

On the M&R Starlight, it's just a timer... no integrator...
from what I've read, LEDs don't get dimmer with age, however, they CAN degrade if they are consistently run past their temperature ratings. if you keep them cool, they shouldn't degrade...

How much is the kit roughly?
-
Retro just a Timer used on old exp unit.

Cool Pete. You'll be cranking out some screens by the rack fulls now.

Hope so, I had to get Vac Pump repaired and will get it done this week. I am ready to see how it does.

I can see a good market for a retro kit to fit old exposure units, I'd be up for buying one for my unit if the price is right. A simple upgrade and hook up a couple of wires to your old unit I dig it 8)
