Title: Anvil Organic black discharability?
Post by: jvanick on July 20, 2014, 09:15:16 AM
I have a customer that wants us to do some discharge on Anvil '420' Organic black shirts... I know the standard answer is 'test, test test' but...

before I get some blanks in to do that, can anybody tell me how well it works?

Thanks!

Last time i tried this model the results were not acceptable. Most organics dont discharge well honestly.

490 (ringspun organic) works pretty well. 420 works from what I can remember, but it's been a while. In general, we find the Anvil to be top notch product and try to use it as much as possible. If there's money in the budget see if the customer will move up to the 490, it's one of our favorite shirts!

They want 'something nice' but organic, so I'm sure the extra 50cents a shirt won't kill them.

Thanks for the advice :)

Have you really been able to get vibrant results on the 490 pierre?  We had a lot more of a creamy coffee look and colors looked pretty washed out.  White was maybe okay at best, but something like a bright yellow on black looks like mustardy green crap.

We ran Union white discharge on a couple hundred Moss 490 a couple of weeks ago, nice and white. There's always testing of course...

was not the case with us, it discharges rather nicely. Bear in mind though, we don't do this very often, maybe an order a month. . .
