I've been cleaning out the shop getting ready to get back into print at 100% and I still have my 3000. I dont really want to throw it in the trash, just wondering if anyone is still buying them/reconditioning them? I know,I know put a few rounds through it and call it a day like some in here would do but I just cant seem to do it....As far as I know it needs a print head and a good cleaning.

A semi-thread jack.
I have an Epson 3000 that's been laying around on a shelf. It (was) in perfect running condition. I have no real desire to use it for my films.
I was thinking about finding a CISS for it and using it for sublimation. Anyone have ant thoughts on this?

For both of you, workhorse as it may be, parts and accessories must be getting tougher and tougher to find.

Funny, I was just looking at mine with all the dust on it, wondering if I could bring it back to life as a color printer. It was pretty impressive as I remember, not quite up to today's printers, but damn good...

I'm not over concerned if it ends up dying and I can not get replacement parts. Which I would imagine would be tough as it is definitely a dinosaur. As of now, it's just taking up shelf space. If I could use it for anything it would be a bonus.

My point was that CISS retrofit may have to a used kit.

Very good point. I am a little slow on the uptake at times. Anyone have any leads on this for me?
Edit: I just looked at the link and it looks like I can get refillable cartridges through them. Thanks Frog!
Jason, do you have the need to output film wider than 13"? If not, and it needs refurbishing, I'd probably just get an Epson 1400/1430.
