nope, try getting a 4800 or even a good rebuilt 3000.  Those printers are KILLER.

Dan has my old RIP for the 3000, it was bar-none the best rip i used.

I have three 1400's, one 3000, one 4000, and a R1900.

One of those is currently in use, and its the cheapest of the bunch.  I should probably get one of the nicer ones up and running one of these days. :o

I have a 1400 sitting on a shelf here if you want it. I have 2 or 3 of them. I learned a hard way to have a back up for your back up... ;)

now we use a 4800 and when that craps the bed -it's DTS.

We had a 4880 before going CTS. Lost both in a flood. Got another CTS and a 4880 for backup. Never even opened the box. Damn, I have to remember which printer in town "borrowed" the 4880.  :o

Lol I have a dead 1400, a dead 1800, a almost dead 1100, and a dead office printer. Also gave away another 1400 awhile back cause it was clogged something fierce with sublimation inks.

I have 3 - 1400's, one still works, a 3000 that I haven't tried in a long time, a 4800 that the head died on, and recently picked up a 3800 for $400, works great, less than a thousand prints on it...

2 1400's (one working fine, one boxed up and ink tank reset and should work okay)
almost new 4900 I bought off someone for $1100, working great with rolls (film/banners).  We are back to film right now because our CTS is down but an I-Image ST is on the way...(amongst some other goodies).

I have one 3000 that I'm putting in storage and a 3000 that has NEVER had ink through it! I hate to even test it, for dread of putting ink through it :)
I have tons of ink carts, including black if anyone is interested. I went on a buying spree on ebay and Craigslsit for ink about 5 years ago. Even though they're expired, Sigmo says they should still be just fine.
Not sure what I'm going to do with the 3000's. I've think I've become a hoarder of sorts, for the 3000 and its inks.

I dropped inkjet a decade ago. I went to an techstyler. I have never been happier...
