So we are up and running and looking to fine tune our steps.
Regarding the flashback does it make more sense to get the full flash on the way out and then retract quickly while the table is indexing?
I can't see how it makes sense to utilize it in both directions since the top will have a cool down period longer than the middle or bottom of the print.
I've heard it's technically better to do it on the retract as the fans are more effective in that direction.
What are the thoughts of the flashback users out there?
Also, anyway to cushion the retract if you retract quickly? I'd think slamming into the end of the track is bad for hot bulbs.

I use the flash in the retract direction...I send it out fast and slow it down on the way back in, I'm sure others will chime in here. Just what I do here at my shop. As for sending it out, I've got an adjustment on the side of it to lengthen it or shorten it...depending on the speed you have it set at to extend, it can seem a little harsh when it hits that sensor...
