Opens fine for me in Reader.
Here it is opened in CorelDRAW, and re-saved as a pdf. Does this one open for you?
I can also send it directly to you as something else if needed.

Now, this begs the question "Why was this corrupt for Moose, but not me"?

That file was created in Illustrator CS6.0....And the only the text is vector.....

?? The gas mask and shield behave like vectors for me in CorelDRAW

Opens fine for me in every program I tried it in.

Hmm....Yes when I open it in Corel, it is vector.....And now I see that when I use "place" versus "open in Illustrator, it is vector....

I run CS6; when I opened it, some was vector, some not, used "Flatten Transparency" and that released all the vectors. The other way I tried, is to open a blank Illustrator document, and "Place" the the .pdf, clicked "Embed", had to release the clipping masks, and all vectors were there. Hope this helps Mooseman...

Open in Photoshop, No Anti-alias, set size to imprint area or larger and resolution to 1200 dpi or whatever you want... there is no difference between the rasterization of what you would print from illustrator to your printer and choosing the same resolution in photoshop.
If you need to work with it in illustrator, convert to black and white at same high resolution and place there, you can set to swatches, place reg marks.
Helps in emergencies especially to know you can try rasterizing in PS and not be stuck... but sometimes it will be corrupt there also.

Thank you Andy, it worked perfectly after you worked the frog magic.
This frustrates the snot of of me every time.
I have reloaded my Corel 12 & x3 but no change in the result.
Hell my Photoshop even told me the file was corrupt?
Out of curiosity I talked with the custy who called the artist....Discovered it was created in AI on a Mac, I asked the artist to resend AFTER saving for PC in the Mac world. Have not seen that yet, will let you know if this changes anything.
Thanks again Andy you are the Frog King of the bacon save..........

Opened right up for me in X4. I was wondering why most files I get from custys that work in ai the page is 200x200? Is that the default?

Mike, I recommend you download Notepad++ from
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.6.9.html (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.6.9.html)
It would not have necessarily helped in this situation, but most times you can see what created the artwork.
As Royster said, it was created in Illy CS6
Here is a picture from the source -

Of course, knowing in which program it was created and opening it in whatever programs the user has are two different things.
For the life of me, though not good for any re-sizing or manipulation, but I'm surprised that Moose's Reader wouldn't open it either.

I know. I didn't say, but it opened fine for me in Corel
