Title: OLD INK
Post by: Scobey Peterman on October 23, 2014, 06:30:31 AM
I have a job to do on some nylon football jerseys.

They want school bus gold ink.

I have a gallon of Wilflex 8000 school bus gold.  Perfect for this job.

However, the gallon was mixed up in 2004.

Is stirs up well and has not seperated in anyway.

Would you use it??

Thanks.

I would print a test and wash it.

What Sonny said.

But technically you should be just fine.

The only old inks that I ever had problems with were either thick as a brick and unstirrable, or were stored in containers that allowed the plasticizers to wick out.

Hell, I got inks older than that.  If you can stir it and it looks OK it will be fine but a wash test never hurts.
