Looking into screen printing as a possible home based side business, thought I'd come here, look around. Ask some questions, etc.
I haven't screen printed before, but it looks straight forward enough. Kinda like home brewing actually, you need to do a bunch on steps in order and carefully, to start the actual process, but when you do, you can get an excellent product. Where as if you hurry the steps before the printing, or brewing, your product could turn out not so good.

Welcome!
Pretty good assessment there. And oddly enough many screen printers were or are home brewers.
I was neck deep in that hobby for a long time, but got out of it because the "excellent product": produced
disappeared faster than I could make it!
I'd say you're already two jumps ahead in the game if you're here first before buying equipment and
supplies. Most folks do it the other way around.
Dig the name btw.

welcome aboard!
yes, as long as you have the patience and are up for making about as much as you would be making form the brewing venture, you'll be OK.
Printing part is hard, much harder than it seems, but it is definitely doable and you have the right idea. Business part is really what makes you money, not the printing. As long as you understand that sales and marketing is what you need to be doing and the printing is secondary, you'll be fine. Think the guy that his friends and family keep telling how great of cook he is and how he should open up a restaurant. He does, and even with the best food in town, he goes out of business in three months. Why? If you build it they will NOT come! He has to advertise and bring in the customers to try that excellent food he is making. Most ppl starting a business fail to realize that (sorry for preaching).
