Title: Is there a lifespan on quartz lamps

I get the feeling our quartz flash does not flash as fast as it used too.
Dry fit shirts don`t burn anylonger when we flash them for too long and it seems like we have to flash white inks longer then usual. Is there a certain lifespan on quartz lamps? Our flash is now 3 years old.

I asked this question a while ago, and was told that while they do age, they don't age in any measurable way.

My problem ended up being the reflectors behind the bulbs...  they were all tarnished.  got new ones, and I was back to fast flash times.

Ours is going on 7 years now and it still flashes like it did years ago, now we have changed bulbs about 3 years ago...keep your flash clean of lint, I've saw ours doing some smokin ::)
