Title: Designing/Printing Zippered Hoodies
Post by: 1964GN on November 01, 2014, 10:20:54 AM
I have a few designs I did for a client and a couple they want on zippered hoodies (most are type... one, two and three color... simple stuff). One has what they call a "kiss" zipper and another going on a regular zipper hoodie. I am wondering if I should split the design in half and move each away from the center. We don't have zipper pallets and the client is asking me if I need to split them to avoid printing on the zipper.

The boss is in a tree stand in the middle of Wisconsin until Wednesday and I have to deliver the final designs on Monday!

Print friendliest = split the text and build up layers/a channel on the pallets. Properly kerned text
should look fine. That said, printing over the zipper isn't the toughest thing in the world.
