Title: The advantages of discharging ink for t-shirt printer.
Post by: xman on November 11, 2014, 01:19:07 AM
When it comes to discharging ink, many people are not sure about the its effect on tshirts. By using discharging ink, we can directly print on dark color even black garment. The discharging ink can take dark color off, which make it the same as printing on white garment. Meanwhile, you save the time of printing white ink or pre coat. When you finished printing, you will find the printed tshirt as soft as the original one, besides it has a vintage style. Some people doubt that discharging ink may have a pungent smell, yes it has a slight smell. Every ink has a smell, just like your pen ink, right? The key point is to make noney while not harm the environment or your health.

Yep.
Back in April when xman first posted about this machine in Commercial Listings (http://www.theshirtboard.com/index.php/topic,11615.msg110165.html#msg110165), I had hoped that we could get some real information and discussion, because otherwise, his posting style reeked of pre-spam set-up.

Then, when this post here was in the discharge section, I once again figured that it would be dismissed as the same.

I had hoped that by moving it here where it belonged, it would prompt both serious attention as well as serious discussion back and forth with the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, even their website is a little weak on actual price details and mention of US availability.
It would be nice to see this at a show here.

yup, the old mimaki's did that...frankly I thought it was a great idea...much more user friendly than the current setup with pretreating and such.

I think they had weaker colors overall

Had some meetings back about ten years on this with a sublimation company. These were MIT folks. Pretty intimidating. Ended up tabling as they couldn't get around the activator issue.
