Anyone here do any number printing and what do you use? I did 550 football jerseys about 3 months ago for a city league. I did Vinyl on them and it was really kind of a pain. Also some of the jerseys have very thick seams so it makes it difficult to get good even pressure on them. I have to do another 200 and was thinking about getting something like the Quickdraw number system. It would cost me about as much as the vinyl would cost but I would have it for future use. Just looking for some input on this. Anything would be great.

Plastisol transfers. We have the Vastex number system which works well but on long runs the transfers are easier and faster. It is mainly used for PMS match and custom font numbers now.

we've tried printed and for us heat seal works better.
I like being able to not tie up a machine(other than a heat press) on numbers. I can put a single guy on it and just let them go to town...

we print our transfers as well but you can always pick them up from transfer express. much better cost than vinyl. we too have a numbering system and realy is faster for the heat press.

Today I decided to price some transfers for this job and that would not be cost effective at all. The problem with that is they have 6 inch numbers on the front and 8 inch on the back. All numbers will be 2 color, half white outline with maroon number and the other white with navy. I am going to either print them or cut vinyl for them. Transfer express is showing it will be around 900 for just the 8 inch numbers.

I bought the Vastex numbering system. It's very nice. But not ideal for us. You are also locked in to one numbering style.
We cut our names and numbers with vinyl in-house and heat press them on.
Plastisol numbers are cheaper, but we do a lot of unorthodox fonts for the numbers.
As far as the 2 color stuff, we'd be in the same spot as you as I'm not sure how we would handle that.

Yeah my thoughts are either commit to vinyl or I can get the Quickdraw frame and 40 screens for it for roughly 1300. I could burn 6 and 8 inch with those. I will probably screen print the the team names no matter what, they are 2 lines tall and 2 color also. So I am really leaning towards screening the numbers also. Then just do the player names in vinyl.

We have the Inline Tech printer; works very well for us, but for large 2 color numbering, we find transfers are less expensive and far less time consuming...

My space limitation will not allow me to get a numbering system.
Some of them a soooooo cumbersome, and some of them are well overpriced.
I stick with Siser CADcut vinyl and a cutter. Done last night: pics
