For 23x31 frames?
Hm I start to doubt the info I get from M&R sometimes. I asked them if the smaller Starlight can hold the Tri-Loc frame for the 23x31 frames and they told me no way, that`s not going to work.

unless they've redesigned either the trilock master frame or the starlight since the one I got, I can't see how the master frame would fit on it.

there's literally about 2" of empty space around the frame...

I don't think the top would close with it in there.

Does not fit last I knew.

We bought the larger one for that reason.

wow... I would have never thought that would have fit like that...

we don't have glass in ours anymore, but good to know for anybody else considering one.

Well that solves that.  Still glad we went larger, we do 25x36's on ours as well.  Doubt that would fit.

Here's ours.
You will eventually wear out your blanket and or break the glass. We do not recommend using the tri-loc on the smaller version for those reasons. Yes you can physically put the frame on the glass but in the near future you will pay the price. Just a FYI.

Why wasn't the unit made a hair bigger to be able to accommodate your mainstay product on properly sized screens for the exposure unit?

They don't need LED's under their trilock... so people with trilocks are forced to buy more LED's than they need. :(

Price dictates the size as well as matching what was already a standard size for smaller screens. There are orher sizes other than what is used here.

I guess... I just don't see a bit more metal, glass and neoprene being that much more expensive to make it where it was compatible with your trilock for the size screen that is in the name of the unit.

I would not expect you to know the cost associated with "little changes" here.

This post has me laughing. Shoes don't come with load ratings but you just don't stick a 400lb lady in stilettos, she might squeeze into them but........

I think there is a flavor of porn for that, if not you should start filming and become a millionaire overnight.

I'll keep everyone posted on how long it takes before we need a blanket or glass replaced.  Market research hard at work.  ;)

USER TIP: the blankets on these are very flexy and supple, which lends itself to the fast draw-down times these units exhibit. The downside to this is that the blanket can develop holes in high-wear points, like mine did where the blanket overlays the inside corner of the frame.
After some trial and error, I stumbled upon SHOE-GOO, and it worked great! After a few failed attempts at devising a patch that was flexible enough, I realized that any patch at all was unnecessary. Simply coat the area in question in a thick, liberal amount, and let cure overnight.
I applied some to all possible wear areas (topside of blanket) as a reinforcement to avoid future hole. If you have already worn a hole, or are pretty close, applying to both inside and outside of the blanket may be necessary. But it works quite nicely!!!!
