Title: Engraving on stainless steel dog tags?

Anyone know about Engraving on Dog Tags? Such as fingerprints, pics ect.

Think I saw that you can get ones that can use dye sub on.

We use our CO2 laser for coated dog tags and our diamond drag engraver on the stainless ones. Pictures and stuff on the coated ones but mainly text on the others. It would take a YAG laser to do the stainless...... they do make a spray coating to be used on the stainless for CO2 type lasering and it works OK but I'm not real sure on the wear ability.
