Title: Mimaki CJV30 print cutter
Post by: Rockers on February 09, 2015, 06:51:34 PM
We are ready to buy a Mimaki CJV30 print cutter. We have a lot of requests for transfers and vinyl stickers and we just saw that machine at a trade show here.
Are there any users of this machine on this fine forum? Would lover to get some feedback on this or similar Mimaki print cutters. The good the bad and the ugly.

No idea about this model or Mimaki, but just a few thoughts….EcoSolvent printers like this will need to be ventilated.  Certain jobs will need to be laminated for long term durability.  If you see the possibility of the machine staying busy, your output is limited due to the PRINT THEN CUT aspect of the machine.  For speed, you'll be better off with a printer and then a separate cutter.

The HP Latex L360 machines print on a bunch of different substrates like fabric, are green friendly, fast, and loaded with features.   No idea what your budget is, but they are probably about $16k, and a nice cutter might be $5k (just guessing)

Good luck.
