Is anyone running something like this? Seit, Proell, GMI are producers.
I got offered one rather good machine for little money. What I don't know or estimate are maintanance costs, limitations in real world. Producer, seller.... are full of nice pics.
They both tell me there is no maintanance, endless posibilities....
thankful for all input,
Boris

Thought he was looking to PM someone about a specific one.
Anyway, maintenance costs for the laser are very minimal. Only a few different filters - pre filter, hepa filter, charcoal filter replaced about once a year (or every 2 years, prefilter is cheap and we set that to every 6 months - $24 for pre filter, $115 hepa, $75 gas/odor filter).
We haven't had to do anything else at all maintenance wise. The laser pretty much just works and the only fail we have had with it is the sensor not quite turning it on which was adjusted and worked fine after.
It isn't an endless world of possibilities, you have to either use materials where the laser won't go through the garment but will get the applique or use foil behind it which is a pain to remove.
Digitizing wise I had to figure a slight work around for our machine (digitizing in the latest software, then opening and saving DST files with the 2009 software). This wouldn't be the case for the newest machines though / they did show me a new way to do it (but the 'stitch' distance minimum is .4mm and I like .1mm even though the laser goes slower).
We would buy it again yes. It has been worth it for us.

Just over $40K. Not sure if that has come down by now, we bought it almost 2 years ago.
