Anyone using roll media with one of these, or printing longer than 22"? I can get one for a steal, but I really need to be able to output films in the 17"x48" range with some frequency if it is possible. Google just has one video with broken english kind of showing a guy do it, and a bunch of photo printers saying you can't do it with photo paper rolls...

We run a 3800, and no, it does not accept roll media like the 4800 (had one of those too until the print head went south) We have a box of 17 x 22 film for the oversized stuff...

so it has a literal hard limit of 22 inches long?

I can't say for sure, I haven't had the need. You might be able to create a special page, 17 x whatever, then cut it off the roll and feed it in...

According to google it has a hard length limit of 37 inches...why?! I can understand not formally supporting roll media so you can push you more expensive models, but come on...

Sounds like it's time to splice... or buy the more expensive machine. If you can find a 4800 or 4880 used, it may be a good deal...

Yea, I guess I'll pass on this one and just go with a 48XX if I can find one.
