Title: Tuf Javelin Control Panel Upgrade Accident
Post by: sirsean on May 31, 2015, 03:11:54 PM
Hello guys, I upgraded my Tuf Javelin control panel to a newer freedom control Panel, while finishing the wiring to all my sensors & mac valves I accidentally mistaken the safety cord wiring for the power cord wiring. Well I fried all 3 of my PLCs inside the control panel. i found some replacements online but I think they will need programing before they can be used? Have anyone ever purchased outside of Workhorse for these or ever replaced these & programmed them yourself? Thanks in advance any info in greatly appreciated!

My advice to you would be to buy a already programmed PLC from Workhorse.
Are you sure you fried yours? The pics you posted are input/output cards. Those can be
Purchased from any good source. The CPU (central processing unit) is where the program is.
The above job is not difficult for someone who has knowledge with PLC's. A Nightmare fore someone
who does not. To install a program, easy if you have correct tools. To take the time to write a program
for a programmer, who does not understand the machine logic is wasting your money. Cheaper to buy
new used machine. Going direct to Workhorse is your Cheapest/Best Route IMHO.

Thanks Californiadreamin I thought that these were the PLCS, I opened these guys up & saw burnt makings on the circuit boards on all 3 of the cards, so if these are damaged could I replace them without any additional programming needed for them? Thanks For responding!

You just might not be in as bad of shape as you thought!
Keep your fingers crossed!
Again, touch base with Workhorse

Sir Sean, my eyes are bad.
The module on the left Is the CPU.
Energize the CPU as it is with 115v.  Does the Run Light Come On? Do any lights come on?
Give me a call if you like.

Call me I will try to walk you through it.
