Kind of a silly question here, but I 'm going to ask anyway, I've been ordering 18 x 100 rolls of pallet tape so I can fold it under, but I thinking about getting the 16x100 roll's which will fit the pallet perfect and no folding any of you use this size or just buy the oversize and fold. I was thinking I could slap it on faster and peel it off faster.... Pros & Cons, like I said I know is is a silly question ;D

We've tried that here and found that the time spent perfectly aligning the tape to the pallet rubber...or worse, cleaning up the tac and lint from someone else's botched attempt...that time was better spent doing, well, pretty much anything else actually productive.
We didn't fold over or tape, we just used razors to slice off up to the edge of the rubber. It takes an extra 5 or 6 seconds, tops. So long as your pallet rubber is very clean and nobody tacs the front or rear edge of the pallet too much it stayed nice and secure and wouldn't peel up.
I guess, essentially, you are going to spend the time somewhere. If you can be sure that everyone who tapes pallets will be doing it precisely I'd say the 16" tape is fine...but we run 4 machines that none of the people are chained to. Not to mention turnover on second shift. You wouldn't even know who you had to sit down and have a pep talk with or even if they still worked there...and even if you could most people either don't care enough or have wildly varying ideas of what "good enough" means.

totally agree with Dan and his method...
however, we only cut off the front.. the sides we roll under.... I feel that it makes the shirt loading and un-loading easier... and if you have a bit of glue fall over the edge, makes clean up easier

18" here. I also razor off. I tried folding but found it could be annoying and start to flap around or catch with certain garments (like kids smalls).

Ok good info I'll just keep ordering the 18 rolls....thanks fella's

Dan said it. 18" wide tape. I got a few rolls of the 16" in once by accident and they are still hanging around as "backups" in case we forget to order 18", my crew hated the 16" wide.

18 here like the others. We also tried the 16 once and I was very frustrated at the end of that first session.
