If you have the original oiler there should be about one drop every 20 indexes with all the heads on and printing. The oiler should have a little plastic piece that the oil hits and splatters causing the oil to splatter into the air and travel in the air as a mist to lubricate the system.

How can I tell if my Gauntlet is sending oil into press air system.

Based on your info there are two possible answers (correct)
If machine is servo drive, AC heads then as Mr Hoffmann states!
HOWEVER if machine is all pneumatic (Air) then according to Ch 10 ,pg 17
of a M&R Gauntlet manual that I am looking at says 1 drop per 8 cycles.
It is a good starting point IMHO up or down. Keep your head low and out of the
way as you look/adjust. Also a good idea to put a piece of tape or mark an oil
level starting point. You should see the oil fall as it is being used. Add oil if needed.
I didn't want people who had older machines to get confused with the good advice.
Happy Printing

Good Advise.... I will place a piece of tape on the oil level gauge and see if it is falls. I was just curious because i recently added oil and was wondering how and if it was putting oil into the pneumatic system of the press. So from what has been described so far is, IF THE MACHINE HAS OIL IN IT, IT IS APPLYING THE OIL . Correct?

how often you add oil? How many cycles per month. Just because there is oil in the oiler does not mean you are getting it into the machine

I've wondered if I'm getting enough oil as well. (All Air Gauntlet)  When I open the drain plug in the base (WITH THE AIR TURNED OFF, DANGIT!!!) I always get oil draining out. No water, happily.

Is this any indication at all...that I'm getting enough oil?

it's an indication you are getting oil but I can't tell from this comment if it enough. Same question as above will help determine.

Me.... I'm a weekend printer, usually print 500 shirts per weekend average. I add oil prob. every 3 months. So if I'm adding, I guess its oiling. You think.?
