At stuff4print.com, like most website based companies (I guess) we are always interested in peoples opinion of our site. Please take a look at stuff4print.com and let us know what you think ... are the products easy to find? How is the checkout process? Are you comfortable purchasing through Google Checkout or PayPal? Any feedback is always welcome, and if you have a website and want feedback, I would be very happy to return the favor.

I used to print the F. U. C. K. merch
Note, Tony's seemingly random reply actually made sense when first posted because through a technical glitch, the post above temporarily inadvertently contained a phrase using those very initials.
Seriously, you had to be here! ;D

Tony, are you talking about the British designer label? They are FCUK (French Connetcion UK). I can see you printing their stuff, pretty pricey.

No But I printed the Van Halen stuff. Call me when you can (your phone # on e-mail is kind of weird)

First of all, it is a bit too much "in your face" with the colors for my taste :)
After looking at it a bit, I would love to see the menu on every page you are on, so you do not have to go back to the previous page on the home page to go and check something else. For example, I'm checking the film, and instead of being able to click to a link and go to check other stuff, I have to go back a page and select it from there.
You should make it as simple an as easy as possible to for the site visitor.

I wish I could pay with a credit card. I hate Pay Pal. Other than that I am good.

You should be able to pay with credit card, the payment just goes through Paypal.

Honestly..... the bright primary colors are kinda gross. the buttons especially hurt my eyes with the text going into a complementary color wobble.
Layout seems a bit messy and over populated.confusing try pull down menues to direct people as they go make it simpler & cleaner.

That is kind of interesting. I had a bunch of shirts from that tour. USED to be a big VH fan.

I like the bright primary colors. Many good logo's come from using Primary colors but it does tend to lend itself more towards the youth.

But then again, what do I know. I' not logo designer. I'm a tee shirt designer. :)

His logo is fine, but the rest of the site is a bit too colorful.

yes color creates a mood.... It does seem to be more "Playful" then professional/
And again Just an opinion.

no offense -at all -just an outsiders opinion. . . it's freakin horrible. .
it's too cute, looks like it was made in a basement on a 500.00 budget. no flow, where do I go?, everything is yelling at me to click on it, that gets really confusing having too many colors, looks like a daycare website. Pictures and descriptions are huge -you have none. I wouldn't buy from it because it doesn't look like a legit company. I would spend maybe 3 -5 seconds trying to navigate -then it's on to the next website. I know a few guys that buy from you so I know you are legit and all, but if I was to come upon you with a google search -I would probably move to the next site. . again -no offense. . haha. . you can do better, 3-5k should do it.

Interesting... because that's exactly how I found them, a google search. Went to the page, found the film i was looking for in less than a minute, then spent about 9 more minutes checking out what else they had and placed an order. I know the site colors are bright but that didn't turn me away from what i was looking for, good cheap film.
Rememeber, don't judge a book by it's cover, especially a web page as 90% of them are horrible.

that's what I don't understand = it's the FACE of your business. . .why do you want your store front to look like. . . poo? I guess us guys that grew up with the internet view websites way different. To me, it's the first line of contact a potential customer has with me, I want it to be top notch and easily find what they are looking for. If everything is yelling "click me, click me" it gets confusing on where to go. It's like making a good sign, sign designs and t-shirt designs are soo different. Get to the point and make it easy to follow. . .but that's just me, I'm a little out in left field anyway haha.

I am always wanting to get to work on mine. I've put about 10 hours into mine over the last 3-4 years. One day, I will put another hour into it, then 6 months later, I can put another hour or two. Mine is chaotic to view. I don't have money to pay someone to do a new one. In the mean time, I'm making a living. If I made it more attractive for people to visit my website and do more business with me....then I would have too much business. This type of work is laborious work. One person can only do so much. I will never have a great prosperous business just doing seps and art.
I want mine to be dumb and simple like me. You come, you see what is needed, get the contact info and send me an email with your jpg to quote on. It's not even that simple yet. Mine is still to complicated to get into and find things. Thats my fault. Contradicting Homers theory, for me, I never needed to have a website for 98% of my customers. I am positive that it's different for a retail store. An Abercrombi &Fitch is expected to have a nice website that is interactive.
A strong majority of my customers I've known through my connections and previous jobs. The other % is via these forums over the years. The new people that "happen" to find my website still do business with me because they are looking for my type of work.
For 90% of my websites life, I had it to where you needed to register to see anything. You still need to register to see the bigger parts of it. Of those that register at my site, I have about a 98% rate actually sending me a job. They do that because of what I can do. Not because of the look of my website. If I had to guess, 3% of these new people coming to me have done google searches on color separators or something similar. The others have already heard of me. It's kind of heard to find my website directly actually. Most new customers find me through old post.
When they come to my website, They see it's chaotic but still do business with me. Why? Because they are not coming to do business because of my website. They are coming to get what I can do for the tee shirts.
I think that is the nuts and bolts of the argument. Plenty of people have ugly websites yet do great business. A Pretty website is not always necessary. I think easiness is very important. One day, I will make mine easy. Probably more so, when I actually need to.
The Joomla interface (to me) is like learning Photoshop all over again. I got no time for that and don't have 3-5k to pay someone. I guess if I was doing so good in my business that I actually had 5k to pay on a website, that I would be sooo busy that I didn't really need a website. :0 I just need something more simple and clean.

wide spread retail marketing is completely different than a niche market, not even close to the same tactics...Dan, I think it would hinder your business to show up top line of a search. You would end up doing quotes all day to jackasses like me instead of working for your top 10 solid clients like Pierre, Donnie- or whomever it is. You really don't need a strong web presence. I'm not saying you will ONLY get business if your site is top notch, I'm just saying the look of it has a TON to do with perception of your business. With the retail side, I would want to show up top of a search, and to do that effectively, you need a quality website. I think Stuff could have a way better website. I'm sure business is good for them, but it could be GREAT, otherwise this question wouldn't have come up...
and "judging a book by the cover" - for a website, what else do we have to go on? Of course I have to judge you by the "cover". . this is all coming from the side of, I have never heard of you or your company, no word of mouth, I'm just a screener hitting up google and stumbled upon your site.
and this is just my super opinionated opinion haha, I know I'm an ass...
