I never spend a lot of time on the sketches, since they often want to change things around..... :o

This band would have look 'KILLER' full size on the shirt- buuuuut they wanted them on a freakin' WAGON!
Only 200 in the budget, so couldn't do NEAR as much as I wanted!

Here is kind of how I make art.  I make a rough sketch and than make a inking with all pens.  Color in the computer and add affects.  Than Separate and halftone via photo shop.  Than print.  This project was 40 hours for 200 prints total with art.

Thanks for keeping this area active. Nice art. I'm glad you are busy.

Under pressure, I especially like how the rough sketch came out. It a good example of what you see in the beginning does not need to actually be finished art needed for approval.

Many people have a hard time with showing sketches to a customer because most customers can't see the forest thru the trees like we can. In art school, they teach us to do 4-10 tiny toughs with variations in layout. These are loose doodles to most people but these are the building blocks for a good design.
