Have you thought about going to this. I use one ink cart and rest cleaning with my rip  on 4800.

There is no substitute for staying with a sealed cartridge system. If you use refillable cartridges you will always have head clog issues. If you contact Chromaline at 800-328-4261 they can tell you who in your area has their cartridges.

Sorry to bust your bubble, I use film directs ink and have very little ink clog issues and way cheaper to use than carts. Especially using 1 black cart 7 cleaning. I am in Colorado and pretty dry but I do use swamp cooler in summer. Refillable on a 4800 I think is the way to go now, but that is me. I don't think using one brand over another works for everybody. Different area different strokes.
My Opinion.

I don't see the empty carts for the cleaning solution for the 4800 on that page...

That is crazy expensive vs buying Ala cart from other sources. Any idea why they are so much more?

We get our Chromaline carts from Kevin at River City.  Used to run Film direct ink and found the added cost of the Chromaline carts well worth it.  Not due to clogs/bubbles so much but the quality of our d-max.

Zoo, I need to call you about setting up my 4800. Real quick though, what cleaning fluid and refillable are you running?
