Title: Epson 4800 Error code 1001B
Post by: sportsshoppe on August 12, 2015, 06:01:33 PM
Had this error come up the other day and done a Power Clean and a few more cleans from pc and it started working fine, printed out a good bit of art. Left the printer on through the night and come in this afternoon and there is the error code again >:( It says the print head is overheated and needs to be replaced. Has anyone had this error and may know a work around or something? I think I will turn the printer off tonight and just leave it off until I print out tomorrow afternoon if I can get it to print again. It printed great for a while and now this..... Any help would be truly appreciated!!!

I had this with our old 4000 printer. In the end we had to replace the print head.

Won`t help you much as I`m in Japan.
It wasn`t pretty though. I think back then it was around US$500.
Never had the same problems with our 4880, but therefor other trouble;)

my GUESS is it will cost more to replace the head than buying another used printer . . . use searchtempest.com and find one in your area.
