Hi,
My names Mike. I have been printing commercial since 2009 and currently run under pressure screen printing in Austin, Texas. We mostly print water base ink 99% of the time. We currently have a 8 color 10 station gauntlet and i am in the process of forming a 2nd company that focuses on high end flat stock printing with special effects. We currently run a lot of sericol discharge ink with CCI D-white and for HSA we use Magna Colours. For emulsion we run Saati PHU for the smaller runs and murakami emulsion TSR for our large runs. Here is a link to my art site mikefuchs.org I have been mostly printing by hand till last year. Mimosa told me about this site and after looking through it there is a lot of good info so I figure I could get some help and help some people.
Cheers,
Mike

Your flatstock work is awesome.
If you ever want some cheap speedball ink, or Nazdar UV inks, i have pallets of it, and i'm about 3 hours away.

Welcome aboard. Always room for one more!

Mike is being humble. He is far from a newbie and I bounce lots of stuff off him through facebook when I am having issues or trying out new stuff, especially when it comes to equipment, and flatstock or discharge printing. He is also inherently into testing and getting better as a printer, which is always a welcome addition to the boards, so welcome aboard!

Eric thanks for the offer but currently I have ran out of space for a UV dryer since I am move toward solvent inks and water base inks for my flat stock printing. After testing out most every ink for poster I have pick TW Graphics ink for clients and Nazdar solvent inks for my poster art since I like the look of that ink on foil and paper the best. If you have any metal flakes of special effects addives I would be awesome. Right now I am testing out hologram flake, interference pigments, metal flakes, and dychromatic inks for flat stock printing. I am pumped to learn a lot more on this board but also reflect on what works for me with others. I am really into testing and making my printing better.
