Title: Vinyl for Plastic?
Post by: mimosatexas on October 01, 2015, 01:47:19 PM
I have a client that wants vinyl put on a water bottle.  I did a quick test with some sign vinyl I had in the shop and it is pretty easy to pull off after application.  Is there some kind of specialty vinyl needed or some way I can make the standard sign vinyl adhere better?  Anyone ever use vinyl on something like a waterbottle?

Was it cast (high performance) vinyl?

I'd think it would stay pretty well, for one-off custom work. A big run, no.

You could cut a mask, and spray on some plastic Krylon, then peel out the mask. Expensive, but if you are in a bind, well you know.

Heck. I'd do it FOR YOU!!....if I could fix MY problem for today.   >:(
