Post by: printeranonymous on October 04, 2015, 04:35:31 AM
Where can I buy these and does anyone have an ink thats liquid activated that'd show off sweat for example? I want to use it on lycra/spandex/nylon shirts..

Search here is a tad weak, but searching for the term "hydrochromic" on the home page came up with numerous threads about this stuff going back to 2012

I appreciate it Frog! Not a whole lot of updated information on a lot of the posts. What is Matsui? I see it posted everywhere, I tried googling and it says it's a restaurant, lol.

You need to hone your search skills.
I typed in Matsui Ink and found dozens of references including this (http://matsui-color.com/matsuiproducts/)

Also would it be possible to have a sublimation shirt of a picture of a cat for example and dye it bright blue with thermo dye and when heated up it reveals the cat?

Actually on polyester it may sublimate.
I've done it on cotton with Matsui inks.

How can I do this? None of the places that sell the ink will tell me how to dye the clothing unfortunately... :\

I see the biggest issue here is that most folks in these screen printing forums talk about inks, while you, I think need information about dying shirts or fabric with this stuff.
Check this out. Seems limited in colors, but seems to be going in the right direction.
